Privacy

No account, no sync, no analytics. Everything you capture lives in one file on your Mac. Notes, tasks, and reminders you write yourself never leave it, unless you talk to Ply.

we couldn’t peek if we tried

  • Local first

    Everything you capture is saved on your Mac. Nothing syncs and nothing is tracked. Only a request to Ply AI takes the few items it needs.

  • Titles, not contents

    Ply reads window titles, page addresses, and file paths. It never reads the text on your screen or on a page.

  • Only what you write about

    Apps and sites you merely pass through are not recorded. A place is saved once you write something in it.

  • Careful with addresses

    Tracking parameters are removed. Links that carry sign-in details, like login codes and tokens, are never saved.

  • Erase means erased

    Erasing a deleted project removes it from Ply’s backup as well. No copy is left behind.

  • Yours to take

    Export everything as Markdown or JSON whenever you like.

When you talk to Ply, your request, a small selection of relevant notes, and the name and address of what’s in front of you (the app, site or conversation you’re in, such as a contact’s name in Messages, with the page’s address or the open file’s path) go to Ply AI to answer it. Page text, your messages and screen contents are never sent. Site icons are fetched directly from each website. Read the privacy policy
